Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and all services provided by Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website, booking a service, or enrolling on a course, you agree to the terms set out below.


1. General

Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately once published on our website.


2. Grooming Services


Appointments

All grooming appointments are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. Appointment times are approximate and may vary depending on your dog’s behaviour, coat condition, and welfare needs.


Cancellations & No-Shows

We require reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to attend an appointment without notice may result in a cancellation fee or loss of deposit.


Dog Behaviour & Welfare

The safety and wellbeing of dogs, staff and learners is our priority. We reserve the right to:

  1. Stop or refuse a groom if a dog is aggressive, distressed, or poses a risk
  2. Charge an additional fee if a groom takes longer due to behaviour, coat condition, or requires additional staff support

Owners are responsible for informing us of any known behavioural or medical issues before the appointment.


3. Training Courses & Academy Services


Course Bookings

All course places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-confirmed basis.


Deposits & Payments

  1. Course deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
  2. The remaining course balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the course start date
  3. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your place, with the deposit retained


Attendance & Conduct

Learners are expected to attend all scheduled training days and behave professionally at all times. We reserve the right to remove any learner whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.


Assessments & Qualifications

Qualifications are awarded by external awarding bodies (e.g. iPET Network). Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC delivers training but does not control final assessment outcomes.


4. Payments

We accept payment via credit/debit card, bank transfer, and approved third-party finance providers (e.g. Klarna, Clearpay). Payment providers operate under their own terms and conditions.


5. Community & Donation Initiatives

Any items donated to our food banks or donation drives are given freely and become the property of Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC for distribution to partnered charities and rescue organisations. Donated items are not resold.


6. Website Use

All content on this website is owned by Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission. We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate but do not guarantee it is always error-free.


7. Liability

While we take every reasonable precaution, Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC is not liable for:

  1. Loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control
  2. Pre-existing conditions or undisclosed behavioural issues
  3. Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.


8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
